What it is

A batch is one production cycle. Materials, finishes and small details can vary slightly from batch to batch, especially with handmade or naturally varying materials.

Why it matters

Batch differences are normal in small-scale making. Pattern materials such as Damascus and Timascus also make each piece unique.

Also known as: Production Batch, Lot, 批.
