What it is
Some metals, such as carbon steel, Damascus, springs and steel balls, can rust when exposed to sweat and moisture. Titanium, zirconium and most stainless steels are much more resistant.
Why it matters
Wipe pieces dry, store them away from humidity and apply a thin protective oil to vulnerable parts. Copper and brass do not rust but do develop patina.
