A pocket clip is a spring clip fixed to a knife, pen, flashlight or tool so it can ride clipped to a pocket edge instead of loose inside it. Clips can be fixed or reversible for left- or right-hand carry, and for tip-up or tip-down carry.

A good clip keeps gear secure and easy to reach.
