What it is

Smoothness describes motion free from grit, catches and uneven resistance. It is affected by surface finish, wear plates, bearings, lubrication and cleanliness.

Why it matters

Players notice roughness instantly. A smooth fidget may still have strong clicks; smoothness is about what happens between them.

Also known as: Smooth, Glide, 丝滑.
