Actuation Force触发力

At a glance

Short name
Actuation Force
Type
Spec
Written by: FZEDC

How much force it takes to press a button until it clicks or triggers.

What it is

Actuation force is usually given in grams-force (gf) or centinewtons. It is the force at the point where the switch registers, not necessarily the force at the bottom.

Why it matters

Lighter switches are easy to spam; heavier ones feel more deliberate. Spring changes and lubrication can shift it slightly.

Also known as: Operating Force, Press Force,
