What it is

Haptics is the umbrella word for everything a fidget tells your hand: clicks, snaps, resistance, vibration and weight. Players use it as shorthand for feel.

Why it matters

It is why a slider or coin is called haptic. Good haptics are clear and consistent; the terms in Feel & Sound break that feeling down into parts you can compare.
