A carabiner is a metal loop with a spring-loaded gate, first made for climbing. EDC carabiners are smaller versions used to hang keys or gear from a belt loop or bag.

Small EDC carabiners are usually not rated for climbing loads and should not be used for climbing.

登山扣（carabiner）是带弹簧门的金属环，最初为攀岩制作。EDC 登山扣是缩小版，用来把钥匙或装备挂在腰带环或包上。

小型 EDC 登山扣通常没有攀岩承重认证，不能用于攀岩。
