Damping阻尼感

What it is

Damping is resistance that grows with speed or absorbs energy, smoothing motion and softening stops. It can come from friction, grease, elastic parts or magnetic effects such as eddy currents.

Why it matters

Damped fidgets feel calm and luxurious and are often quieter. Too much damping can feel sluggish; the best designs keep the motion controlled without killing the snap.
