Ring size describes the inside of a ring. Systems differ by region, so the inner diameter in millimeters is the most reliable reference.
Why it matters
Wide bands and spinner rings often feel tighter than a thin ring of the same size. Measure a ring that already fits the same finger, and check whether the maker recommends sizing up.
