Skeletonized镂空

Short name

Written by: FZEDC

Material removed through a part to save weight or show the inside.

What it is

Skeletonizing means cutting windows or pockets through a part. On spinners it shifts weight toward the rim; on sliders and coins it can reveal magnets, balls or a contrasting inner layer.

Why it matters

It is both a weight decision and a visual one. More cutouts mean lighter parts and more edges, so the quality of the chamfers and edge finish inside each opening matters for comfort.

Also known as: Skeletonised, Cutout, Openwork,
