An automatic, or self-winding, movement is a mechanical watch movement in which a weighted rotor turns as the wrist moves and winds the mainspring.

Worn regularly, it keeps running without manual winding; left off the wrist it eventually stops.

自动机芯，或称自动上弦机芯，是一种机械表机芯，带配重的摆陀随手腕摆动而转动，为发条上弦。

经常佩戴时无需手动上弦就能持续走时；离开手腕一段时间后最终会停下。
