The way magnets pull a plate back into place after it is moved or lifted.
What it is
Re-capture describes how a magnetic slider pulls its parts back into position. Push a plate past its rest point, or lift it slightly, and the magnets draw it home.
Why it matters
Strong re-capture feels confident and secure; weak re-capture feels loose. The magnet layout and gap set the strength, and it is one of the main things players compare between magnetic sliders.
