Dense and warm in hand; ages into a one-of-a-kind patina.
What it is
Copper is a warm, reddish-orange metal and one of the oldest metals people have worked by hand. At roughly 8.9 g/cm³, it is denser than Stainless Steel. It is relatively soft and easy to shape, which makes it a favorite for EDC coins, sliders and accents that are meant to show their age.
How it feels in your EDC
Copper has a dense, substantial feel and warms quickly in your hand. Many people enjoy that weighty, tactile presence in a pocket piece. Because it is softer than steel or titanium, it picks up marks more readily, and for many collectors those marks are part of the appeal.
Care & aging
Copper reacts with air and skin oils, so it gradually darkens from bright orange to deeper brown tones. This patina is natural and many people like the character it adds. It can also leave a temporary metallic smell or light stain on hands. To bring back the shine, use a copper cleaner or a gentle polish; to keep the patina, simply wipe it with a dry cloth.
