What it is

Mirror polishing is a finish made by working a metal surface through progressively finer abrasives and polishing compounds until it reflects images clearly, like a mirror. It takes more time and skill than most finishes, and the result depends on the material and the maker's process. It is most common on Stainless Steel, Brass, Copper and accents on Titanium.

How it feels in your EDC

A mirror-polished piece feels very smooth and slick in hand, and it catches light dramatically, giving it a jewelry-like, premium look. It pairs well with contrasting matte or bead-blasted areas to highlight shape and detail. It suits collectors and people who enjoy keeping a piece looking pristine.

Care & aging

Mirror polish shows fingerprints, fine scratches and swirl marks more than any other finish, especially with daily pocket carry. Wipe it often with a clean microfiber cloth. A suitable metal polish can refresh the shine, but use it sparingly and keep it away from bearings, magnets and coated parts. Carry it in a separate pocket or pouch to limit wear.

保养与老化

镜面抛光比任何其他表面都更容易显示指纹、细划痕和旋纹，日常揣兜尤其明显。经常用干净的超细纤维布擦拭。合适的金属抛光剂可以恢复光泽，但要少量使用，并远离轴承、磁铁和涂层部件。单独放一个口袋或收纳袋，可减少磨损。
