What it is

A polished finish is made by smoothing a metal surface with fine abrasives and polishing compounds until it reflects light. "Polished" covers a range, from a soft, glossy shine to a full mirror finish. Mirror Polished is the brightest end of that range, where the surface reflects images clearly. The level of polish depends on the maker and material.

How it feels in your EDC

A polished piece feels smooth and sleek in hand and catches light as you turn it, giving a bright, refined look. It is common on Brass, Copper and Stainless Steel, and often used on edges, chamfers or accents to contrast with matte or bead-blasted areas and highlight the shape.

Care & aging

The higher the shine, the more fingerprints, swirl marks and fine scratches show with daily carry. Many people let a polished piece soften into a gentle worn-in look over time. Wipe it with a microfiber cloth. A suitable metal polish can bring back the shine, but use it sparingly and keep it away from bearings, magnets and coated parts.

抛光作品握感顺滑利落，转动时会捕捉光线，呈现明亮精致的外观。它常见于黄铜、紫铜和不锈钢，也常用在边缘、倒角或点缀处，与哑光或玻璃珠喷砂区域形成对比、突出造型。

保养与老化

光泽越高，日常携带显示的指纹、旋纹和细划痕就越多。很多人会让抛光作品随时间柔化成温和的使用感。用超细纤维布擦拭。合适的金属抛光剂可以恢复光泽，但要少量使用，并远离轴承、磁铁和涂层部件。
