Soft low sheen between matte and mirror; easy to keep clean.

What it is

A satin finish sits between matte and mirror. It has a soft, gentle sheen that reflects light without sharp glare. Makers usually create it by sanding or polishing with fine abrasives, often in one direction, though some satin finishes are made with fine media blasting. The exact method depends on the maker.

How it feels in your EDC

Satin feels smooth and refined in hand, with a classic, understated look that shows off clean lines and machining. It is brighter than bead blasted or stonewashed, but calmer than mirror polished. Many people see it as a balanced, everyday finish that looks good on Stainless Steel, Titanium and Aluminum.

Care & aging

Satin hides light scratches better than mirror polish, but daily carry marks can show more than on stonewashed surfaces. Over time, it may develop a gentle worn-in look. Wipe it with a soft microfiber cloth. If you touch it up, follow the original grain direction lightly, or ask the maker for advice to avoid uneven patches.
