A blade whose spine curves gently down to the tip.

A drop point is a blade shape in which the spine slopes down in a slight convex curve toward the point. This lowers the tip, making it strong and easy to control.

It is one of the most common shapes on pocket and outdoor knives because it handles general cutting tasks well.
