A lock where part of the handle frame itself springs in behind the blade.

A frame lock works like a liner lock, but the locking bar is cut from the handle frame itself, usually titanium, instead of a thin inner liner. When the blade opens, the bar moves in behind the tang and holds it.

The thicker bar makes a strong, simple lock and is common on premium titanium folders.
