A blade ground with concave sides, giving a very thin, sharp edge.

刀身两侧呈凹面的研磨方式，刃口非常薄而锋利。

A hollow grind is made on the curve of a grinding wheel, leaving the sides of the blade slightly concave. This produces a thin edge behind the cutting line.

The thin edge slices very well and is easy to touch up, but it is less robust for heavy work than flatter grinds.

凹磨是在砂轮的弧面上研磨而成，刀身两侧会略微内凹，使刃口后方非常薄。

薄刃切削性能很好，也容易修磨，但用于重活时不如更平的研磨方式结实。
